In processing the recent campaign results and the slogan “Make America Great Again”, I created a series of 12 collages, nine of which are pictured here. Each depicts critical moments in civil rights, disability rights, and queer rights movements. These are interspersed with images and text relating to communities, lifestyles, and ways of existing that are considered deviant. Spray paint was used to reference street art and the long history of political activism in graffiti. 

Above is a grid of 9 collages organized into a 3 x 3 grid. Each collage contains greyscale images of civil and social rights movements that are overlapped with imagery from othered communities. There is graphic sexual content and nudity that references multiple deviant cultures and practices, calls to action from historical movements and contemporary media, commentary in the form of artwork titles and descriptions, colored images of Max Ernst pieces, and photoshop educational materials interspersed in each collage. All collages have the bottom two thirds partially covered in red spray paint using a handmade industrial font that reads "AGAIN?".
